My STEM, Science and Technology Academy located in Lake Mary, Florida, is an After School, Summer Camp, and Birthday Party Program that promotes Science Technology Engineering and Math classes to students and campers.

STEM Instructor and Coordinator

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Our My STEM Instructor position requires previous coding/technical experience. Teach our students (K-8) using our proprietary curriculum, technology, and software. We are looking for candidates w/ experience in Game Development, Website Development, 3D Modeling, Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, Mixed Reality, or Robotics. Provide support and encouragement when students become frustrated/distracted. Students in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or other related Undergraduate or Graduate programs are encouraged to apply.

The curriculum will be provided to each teacher for each class. You are required to go over the curriculum, and submit projects to us prior to teaching. We will available during business hours via phone and email to help you. You will be provided all of the equipment needed to teach a class each week.

Position Title: Student Internship

What Interns Do

Our interns not only get hands on experience teaching in a classroom, but also work on developing programming to make the classroom captivating based on their strengths. Our interns serve as role models to our students and help guide the classroom by making the subject matter exciting and intriguing.

Requirements

  • We need interns who find it easy to be supportive and enthusiastic to children learning English and STEM
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Responsible, organized, analytical, and proactive!
  • Teaching experience with children and youth 18 years or younger preferred.
  • Completed degrees are NOT required to apply for these internships, and we will accept applicants with majors or minors–or a strong background–in Teaching/STEM.
  • Internships start in May/June and end in August, and all interns are required to commit through the end of the summer.
  • Interns will receive a weekly stipend. Food and training will be provided. Scheduling will vary Monday through Friday, with the possibility of additional weekends based on availability and program nee
